Sesshin-Retreat

Sesshin is a multiple day meditation retreat which allows a deepening meditation.  
Partial participation in Shao Shan Temple sesshins is possible.  

If you have never attended a meditation program at Shao Shan Temple before, please come to one of our "Introduction" programs.
Sesshins/Retreats at Shao Shan Temple are primarily intended for those who practice here regularly .

Sesshins, and all Shao Shan Temple programs, are by donation.

February 22nd                  Friday

6:30 pm                               – Entrance Ceremony

7:00 pm – 8:30 pm          – Zazen & Kinhin (sitting & walking meditation)


February 23rd               Saturday

5:30am – 6:50am            - Zazen & Kinhin

6:50am                                - Morning Service followed by Breakfast

8:00am – 9:00am            - Study Group (or individual zazen/kinhin)

9:00am – 9:40pm            - Zazen

9:40am – 11:00am          - break

11:00am – 12:30pm       - Zazen & Kinhin

12:30pm                             - Lunch & Food Offering Walk(optional)

2:00pm – 5:00pm            - Zazen & Kinhin

5:00pm                                - Supper

7:00pm – 8:30 pm           - Zazen & Kinhin
